Duszniki-Zdrój – miejsce na granicy z Czechami
Miasteczko uzdrowiskowe, leżące na granicy z Czechami, położone na Dolnym Śląsku w dolinie Bystrzycy Dusznickiej. Duszniki – Zdrój liczą około 5 tysięcy mieszkańców, lecz każdego roku wielu kuracjuszy przybywa do tej miejscowości, aby zaznać dóbr wód leczniczych.
Historia tego miejsca sięga wieku X chociaż pierwsze zapiski można odnaleźć dopiero z roku 1324. Miasto dobry zysk czerpało z handlu, jednak jego uzdrowiskowe uwarunkowania kilka wieków później zaczęły działać z korzyścią dla tego miejsca. W roku 1748 zostały przeprowadzone pierwsze w tym miejscu badania źródeł mineralnych, co pozwoliło na ogłoszenie Duszniki – Zdrój miastem uzdrowiskowym od roku 1769.
Park Zdrojowy w Dusznikach – Zdrój to miejsce wpisane na listę zabytków. Urokliwe miejsce objęte obszarem chronionego krajobrazu Gór Stołowych, Orlickich i Bystrzyckich oraz strefą Parku Narodowego Gór Stołowych. Na terenie parku znajdują się najważniejsze miejsca, które nadają miastu charakter uzdrowiskowy. Pijalnia Wód Mineralnych to miejsce powstałe w XIX wieku i oferuje korzystanie ze źródeł. Na uboczu parku źródło Agata, starannie obudowane. Woda jest bezpłatna a turyści mogą jej skosztować. Dworek im. Fryderyka Chopina, czyli Teatr Zdrojowy to znane miejsce spotkań. W 1826 roku Fryderyk Chopin dał tu dwa koncerty, a dodatkowo do dziś odbywa się w tym miejscu coroczny Międzynarodowy Festiwal Chopinowski. Dla ukoronowania Chopina, na jego cześć postawiono również w tym miejscu pomnik z jego podobizną.
Duszniki – Zdrój ze względu na swoje położenie oferują odwiedzającym liczne szlaki turystyczne, które zapewnią odpowiednią dawkę aktywności fizycznej oraz pozwalają na poznanie tych niezwykłych terenów. Idealne miejsce do wypadów w Góry Stołowe. Niedaleko miasta znajduje się wyjątkowy rezerwat Torfowisko pod Zieleńcem, gdzie znajdują się rośliny typowe dla bezdrzewnych terenów.
