Pabianice to miasto w województwie łódzkim. Miasto znajduje się w zespole miejskim Łodzi. Najniższy punkt Pabianic wynosi 174 m n.p.m. (przy rzece Dobrzynce), a najwyższy wynosi 203 m n.p.m. (na południe od lasu miejskiego).
Historia Pabianic sięga X i XI wieku, kiedy obecne miasto było małą osadą śródleśną nad rzeką Dobrzynką.
